McCartney to play last show at Candlestick Park
I just saw this and thought it was so cool. The last Beatles concert ever was in 1966 at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. The Beatles were tired from the constant touring and needed a break, sadly except for the brief rooftop show, they never played live again. Now almost 50 years later they are about to tear down this historic park and it will really be getting a proper sendoff. Paul McCartney will play the final show at Candlestick Park this August. What a cool sendoff, like history coming full circle!

I fully admit that I'm rather strange. I get a huge kick out of seeing people post fake news stories on Facebook totally believing that they are real. The story may come from The Onion or some other fake news site, but I fall out of my chair at some of the responses. Take for example:
Now it's easy to look at an article that states "Bob Dylan goes Electronica" and assume that it's fake, but people get fooled all the time.
Trick your friends by throwing up fake news like its real and check out people's crazed reactions at http://literallyunbelievable.org

jumps into a lake, shoots a birdie and makes it past the cut in a golf tourney.

He jumps into a lake to shake them off which works real well. He gets out, changes his shirt and shoots a birdie!

Check out the video here!
So this golfer in Spain gets attacked by hornets while wearing this ONE shirt only, he tried to switch back to it later, and Hornets arrive again.

Didn't this guy learn anything from Ozzy? NBC News is reporting: "A man who urinated on the famous Alamo in Texas has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Daniel Athens, 23, pleaded guilty in February in a San Antonio court to felony criminal mischief of a public monument or place of human burial. The man had been arrested in April 2012 after he was found relieving himself on a front wall of the fort.

On Monday, state District Judge Ray Olivarri sentenced Athens to a year and a half behind bars. Athens was also fined $4,000 to repair any damage to the Alamo.

When announcing the plea deal two months ago, Bexar County District Attorney Susan Reed said in a statement, "The message is, 'Don't whiz on the Alamo.'"

Music playing technology keeps marching forward and we now live in a time where entire generations do not know the joy of listening to music on a Walkman. Their reactions to this alien player really do show how far things have come. So if you want to feel deathly old, watch this video!

I just read an article on elitedaily.com about the tallest drop ride ever. "The newest addition to Six Flags: Great Adventure in New Jersey looks absolutely insane. It’s a 415-foot free fall called the Drop of Doom that pauses at the top for a few seconds before dropping back down at 90 miles per hour. And if the aerial views aren’t amazing enough, Drop of Doom is located inside the record-breaking peak of Kingda Ka, the world’s tallest rollercoaster. Kingda Ka races by as you reach the top.

This adrena-gasm will be the world’s tallest free fall and is scheduled to be open May of 2014."
Check it out!

Be afraid, be very afraid because there is a virus killing baby pigs and it so far is unstoppable. No you may be thinking "I'm not a baby pig so I'm going to go back to eating my BLT and not worry about this." That is in fact is the very problem, no BLT's because there is NO BACON!!! This virus is threatening to start a world wide bacon shortage. Does this sound like the ramblings of an insane man, well of course, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

It is in this spirit that every family should have a bacon emergency plan.
Step 1: Buy all the bacon!
Now that you have a stockpile, you are ready for whatever shortage may strike. Bacon does go bad after a while so this brings us to the next step.
Step 2: Eat all the bacon before it goes bad!
It is important to keep your supplies fresh for whenever a bacon crisis hits, that's why rotating in fresh supplies is a must and disposal by eating is a perfect method to clean out the rations. Refrigerator isn't big enough to store all of your bacon needs? Then the next step is perfect for you.
Step 3: Get a pig!
Buy, rent, steal a pig, whatever you have to do to ensure that your family will survive even the worst bacon fiasco. When the fridge/freezer is full of provisions, your very own Babe will ensure that you are covered.
Hopefully we will all survive the upcoming bacon shortage, if we make sure we're prepared!

A spinning, thundering, flame-throwing theme park ride!

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be a rotisserie chicken? Well there is a theme park in Germany that has a ride which, according to fearnet.com, "not only flings patrons head over heels and dangles them over a huge abyss, but also bombards them with water jets and massive fireballs." Now before you click over to Travelocity to book a flight, you should probably see this thing in action! *Warning* the video is in German so viewer discretion is advised!

Stevie Ray Vaughan is one of Austin City Limits Hall of Fame first inductees

Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble will become one of the first inductees into the new Austin City Limits Hall of Fame at an April 26 ceremony in the long-running television show’s original studio on the University of Texas campus. According to austin360.com, The ACL Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will become an annual event, with new members added every year. The April 26 show will be taped, with portions to be included as part of a two-hour prime-time PBS special set to air in October in celebration of the show’s 40th season. And if you need proof that SRV belongs in any and every Hall of Fame, check out his cover of Voodoo Chile from Austin City Limits.

So it is the end of the day and I have yet to be April fooled, or maybe I have been and don't yet know. I could spend hours wondering but I have beer to keep my mind focused. I'm pretty sharp when it comes to getting fooled. I only give Nigerian Princes access to my checking account, never savings. I also only forward chain letters that promise me money, not happiness! So as I valiantly wait out the end of April Fools day, let me know if you have been fooled today.
